In connection with the suspension of teaching classes in the current mode, the rector of the Poznań University of Life Sciences has set up a special team for the implementation of distance education. Attendance at online lectures is often higher than in a lecture hall.

The team chose IT tools for distance learning. It proposed: MS Teams – Office 365 module, GoogleEdu, videoconferencing platforms and introduction of extensive teaching materials through the Virtual Dean’s Office. The advantage of these systems is that they are free in the basic version and can be immediately made available to all staff and students.

In the lecturers’ opinion, e-learning has passed the exam. – Many activities are carried out as planned and most importantly with almost 100 percent presence of students. More students can participate in online lectures than they did in the classes in the lecture hall – says Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation Prof. Krzysztof Szoszkiewicz.
