Poznań University of Technology student becomes a laureate of the Mieczysław Bekker Programme

Wojciech Marciniak, implementing third-level studies at the Faculty of Materials Engineering and Technical Physics at the Poznań University of Technology, has been awarded a scholarship under the Mieczysław Bekker Programme organised by the National Agency for Academic Exchange.

The winner will carry out the project ‘Theoretical studies of the role of phonons in ultrafast demagnetisation’. He will spend a year at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Uppsala University, under the supervision of a world-class expert in the theory of transmission electron microscopy, Prof Jan Rusz”.

The aim of the Bekker Programme is to support the international mobility of doctoral students, researchers and academics in their pursuit of scientific excellence by enabling them to develop their research in foreign research and academic centres around the world. The programme is open to doctoral students and researchers representing all fields of science and the host units can be research or academic centres around the world.
