Construction of the New Rectorate at the Poznań University of Technology “Warta” Campus is underway. The building will be almost zero-energy and will implement the principles of sustainable construction. The chief designer of the New Rectorate is Dr Eng. Slawomir Rosolski, a Professor of the Poznan university.

The building will have 5966 m2 of floor space and will be built on a 36.74 m for 36.74 m square plan. It will be a five-storey building (one underground and four above ground) in the form of a glass cuboid with stone façade pilasters. Offices, meeting rooms and social areas are planned for the above-ground floors. The top floor of the building will house the offices of the university authorities.

The material of the glass façade will emphasise the modern character of the Poznan University of Technology, while the use of stone will refer to its rich history and tradition. Images of the surroundings will be reflected in the glass, thanks to which the building will fit into the context of its surroundings.
