58 winners will receive funds for doctoral scholarships, research projects and foreign internships carried out by doctoral students at doctoral schools as part of the PRELUDIUM BIS 4 competition conducted by the National Centre for Science (NCN).

The aim of PRELUDIUM BIS is to support the education of doctoral students and to finance research projects carried out by them as part of their doctoral dissertations. The research team consists of only two people – the promoter, who is the project leader, and the doctoral student.

The competition also supports the international mobility of doctoral students, who are required to complete a foreign research internship funded by the National Agency for Academic Exchange.

In the fourth round, 248 researchers applied for funding. Grants worth a total of more than PLN 34.7 million will be awarded to 58 applicants. They can use the funds they receive for, among other things, research, doctoral scholarships and promoter’s remuneration.
