– We are proud that this Congress is a proof of the bonds connecting the international community of scientists and engineers – specialists in mechanics, guided by a common research passion and jointly concerned about the future of civilization – said Polish President Andrzej Duda to participants of the 4th Polish Congress of Joint Mechanics taking place in Krakow with the 23rd International Conference on Computer Methods in Mechanics.

– It is very important to us that the links between science and industry in our country are getting stronger and deeper to increase Polish innovation and competitiveness and contribute to the success of our native companies and their expansion into global markets, – said the president.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Science and Higher Education Jarosław Gowin emphasized that no country is able to ensure the prosperity of its citizens and the economic security without a strong industry. He highlighted that the challenge is to reconcile respect for the natural environment with the rapid and dynamic development of the economy.
