Students and doctoral students from the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn can apply for the rector’s award for sporting achievements and social activities for the university starting this year. Applications will be accepted until 15 March 2023.

Until now, UWM students and doctoral students have been rewarded with scholarships for their achievements. Now they can also apply for the rector’s award.

‘This is a big novelty. After various talks and discussions, we came up with the initiative to reward the best students for their sporting achievements and social activities. Often these activities are underestimated. And we have a number of female and male students who take part in social life – getting involved for the benefit of the university – as well as promoting the university with good sporting results’, explains Prof. Sławomir Przybyliński, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs at UWM in Olsztyn.
