-The academic community must help find answers to the problems and challenges of the contemporary world. We have the potential to be a scientific and opinion-forming center that goes beyond the borders of Poland – emphasizes the new rector of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (KUL), Rev. Prof. Mirosław Kalinowski.
-The academic community must adapt to civilization, cultural and technological changes, but the main idea of the Catholic University of Lublin is the relationship of faith and science, therefore the university must maintain its identity, resulting from close connection with the social teaching of the Catholic Church – said Prof. Kalinowski.
He added that in this context, it is necessary to take up the challenges related to the use of the achievements of civilization, especially progress in genetics, biotechnology in the world of digitization, new technologies and media. He also drew attention to the primacy of the person over economy.
