Professor Małgorzata Mikołajczak from the Department of Theory of Literature and Literary Criticism of the Institute of Polish Philology, Faculty of Humanities of the University of Zielona Góra received the silver medal ” Meritorious for Culture Gloria Artis” from Piotr Gliński, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
Professor Mikołajczak joined among 22 outstanding writers, scientists and activists associated with the works of Zbigniew Herbert. The ceremony of awarding her took place at the Royal Castle in Warsaw during the inauguration of the First International Congress of Contemporary Polish Literature and the 15th Herbert Workshops.
Professor Mikołajczak is the head of the Department of Theory of Literature and Literary Criticism and the Laboratory of Research on Regional Literature at the Institute of Polish Philology. She is a member of the Committee of Literary Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, author of 5 scientific books, an editor and co-editor of 10 scientific books and 2 anthologies of poetry, as well as the author of approximately 160 articles.
