Prof. Maria Bryszewska, Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection of the University of Lodz (UŁ) has been nominated to represent Poland in the European Cooperation Program in the field of Scientific and Technical Research – COST.

COST is a program funded by the European Union that enables researchers to develop interdisciplinary research networks in Europe and beyond. It provides funding for the organization of conferences, meetings, training sessions, short scientific exchanges or other activities on a wide range of scientific topics.

The program is funded under the Horizon 2020 budget. COST complements the activities of the EU framework programs by creating a bridge between the research and industrial communities of different countries, it also increases the mobility of researchers across Europe and fosters scientific excellence.

Prof. Bryszewska will assume the position of a member of the COST Scientific Council for the three-year term of office 2021–2024.
