Prof. Henryk Runowski from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) has been awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Agriculture in Krakow.
Prof. Runowski is an outstanding specialist in agricultural economics who has made a significant contribution to the dissemination of knowledge related to modern farming, the development of environmentally friendly agriculture and the integration of Polish agriculture with that of the European Union.
Prof. Runowski’s scientific output consists of over 500 papers, including 268 original creative works.
Prof. Runowski’s main research interests include issues related to the economics and organisation of agricultural enterprises, with particular emphasis on animal production and ecological methods of agricultural production in Poland and the European Union; processes of restructuring and ownership transformation in agriculture. In recent years, an important area of the professor’s research has been the use of digital technologies in agriculture.
