Professor Bogusław Buszewski from the faculty of chemistry of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń has won the Polish Intelligent Development Award 2020 in the “Scientist of the future” category.
The jury appreciated three projects implemented by the laureate – “Advanced biocomposites for the economy of tomorrow BIOG-NET”, “Crops and natural products as sources of biologically active substances for the production of cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and dietary supplements” and “Volatile biomarkers for colorectal cancer”.
The Polish Intelligent Development Award is granted to innovators and investors, people and organizations whose way of acting and thinking influences or may influence in the future the intelligent and sustainable development of societies and the economy. The award promotes and appreciates the authors of technological and social innovations as well as investments that directly or indirectly improve the standard of living.
