Professor Cezary Madryas, rector of the Wrocław University of Technology, was admitted to Academia Europaea. It is a prestigious, international organization associating scientists from various fields.
The Academy is based in London, its members are almost 4,000. outstanding specialists in medicine, chemistry, physics, mathematics, economics, humanities and social sciences. There are over 70 Nobel laureates in this group.
The Academy exists since 1988, introduces the highest standards in science, research and education, and supports an interdisciplinary approach to learning. It is divided into 20 sections in four subject groups – humanities, social and related, strict and biological sciences.
Professor Madryas was elected to the commission of 400 members (including 15 from Poland) of the Physics and Engineering from the nomination of Prof. Adrian Bejan from Duke University and Prof. Keith Moffatt of the University of Cambridge.
