Professor Dariusz Dudek from the Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University was elected the chairman of the European Association of Cardiovascular Interventions in the European Cardiac Society (EAPCI ESC). This is the first time, when the Pole became the chairman of this organization.

His term of office will start in 2020. On a daily basis, Professor Dariusz Dudek is the head of the 2nd Department of Clinical Cardiology and the Intervention of Heart-Vascular University Hospital. The cardiologist has been implementing modern methods of treatment of myocardial infarction and hybrid heart valve procedures for many years, giving patients a chance for innovative therapies.
