Professor Józef Dulak from the Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology of the Jagiellonian University (UJ) was appointed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education as a representative of Poland as part of the European Strategic Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI).
The European Strategic Forum on Research Infrastructures was established in 2002 in response to the need to create a coherent strategy for the development of European research infrastructures.
Consistency in promoting the quality of European science and developing a transparent methodology for creating and updating the European Road Map for Research Infrastructures has made ESFRI well recognized by the European scientific community.
ESFRI delegates are experts appointed by the relevant ministries from the Member States of the European Union and associated countries. The effect of their meetings includes shaping policy in the field of research infrastructures on the Old Continent. ESFRI is not a decision-making body and does not deal with the distribution of funds.
