Professor Eng. Andrzej Jacek Tejchman-Konarzewski, head of the Department of Building and Materials Engineering at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environment at the Gdańsk University of Technology was appointed to the Science Evaluation Commission (KEN).

The Commission has 31 representatives of various fields of science and art as well as specialists in scientific policy appointed by the decision of the Minister of Science and Higher Education, Jaroslaw Gowin. The task of the body established by the Constitution for Science is first and foremost to evaluate the quality of scientific activity that will take place in 2021.

The Commission will also evaluate evaluation of education in doctoral schools. It will also be responsible for preparing draft lists of publications on scientific monographs and scientific journals and peer-reviewed materials from international conferences, as well as presenting to the minister proposals for scientific categories for entities subject to evaluation.
