Two prominent European sport sociologists will visit the Institute of Political Sciences of the University of Warsaw in March. Professor Richard Giulianotti and Dr. Gary Armstrong on 9-10 March 2018 will give a lecture and conduct a methodological seminar.
March 9, 2018, at 3 PM, Prof. Giulianotti and Dr. Armstrong will give a lecture entitled “Key contemporary issues in the sociology and anthropology of football”. The lecture will take place in the Collegium Politicum (Auditorium Building) as part of the course on the monographic subject “Football in Europe: Case Studies” led by Dr Seweryn Dmowski. The lecture will be open and will be conducted in English.
On March 10, 2018, from 10:30 AM, scientists will conduct a methodological seminar for Polish PhD students and students. The seminar will take place in room 303 in the Collegium Politicum (Auditorium Building). The guests of the Institute of Political Sciences will cover the following topics: theory and methodology of contemporary social sciences (with particular emphasis on research on sport / football), experience in writing and publishing scientific articles in renowned journals and publications and international scientific networking.
