Professor Grzegorz Kołodko was invited to be a member of the Academia Europaea group, an organization associating 4,000 scientists, including 72 Nobel Prize winners. He will be the first economist from Poland to join this organization.
Professor Grzegorz W. Kolodko works at the Department of Economics of Kozminsky Academy (ALK) and manages the Research Center for Transformation, Integration and Globalization of TIGER affiliated with ALK. After completing public activities as deputy prime minister and minister of finance in four governments (in 1994-2003) he devoted himself to scientific activity. He is the author of several hundred scientific articles and 50 books. The trilogy “Wandering world” was translated into several languages and received the greatest publicity.
The Academia Europaea organization was founded in 1988 in London as the initiative of the Royal Society, the world’s oldest scientific society founded in the 17th century and the Swedish Academy of Sciences. It brings together outstanding specialists from all fields of science.
