November 28, 2019 at 17.00 at the Museum of Evolution of the Institute of Paleobiology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) in the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, Professor Robert Hołyst from the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences will talk about the randomness of life processes delivering a unique open lecture will take place.

-I will tell participants about creating order in living cells, randomness of life processes, as well as their synchronization. I will also show that evolution occurs extremely quickly when living organisms are subjected to strong stress – promises Prof. Robert Hołyst.

The time that appears in my lecture (from nanoseconds to hours) is far from the time scale that is interesting for paleobiologists. But I really hope that my research will be inspiring for the people attracted by the riddle of the existence of life on Earth – adds the scientist.

Professor Hołyst lectured at renowned universities in the USA (including Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT), in Europe, as well as in Canada, China, Japan, Russia and South Korea.
