Professor Jerzy Hausner received an honorary doctor’s title from the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH). The SGH Senate gives this honorable title to people particularly distinguished for the development of science, economy or international cooperation.
Professors Juliusz Gardawski, Andrzej Sławiński and Jacek Szlachta justified their decision:
“Professor Hausner’s scientific research and public service are recognized and appreciated in Europe. He was honored with the position of Adjunct Professor in Transition Economies at the International Center for Business and Politics at the prestigious Copenhagen Business School. From 2014, he participated in the work of the Brussels European and Global Economic Laboratory, and from 2018 is a member of the High Level Industrial Roundtable “Industry 2030″, which is the advisory body to the European Commission in building a new industrial policy in Europe. ”
Professor Hausner in the years 2001–2005 was a member of the Sejm and minister in the governments of Leszek Miller and Marek Belka, in the years 2003–2005 he was the deputy prime minister and a member of the Monetary Policy Council in the 2010-2016 term.
