The readers of “Gazeta Wyborcza” distinguished Prof. Krystian Jażdżewski from the Center of New Technologies of the University of Warsaw with the title of the Man of the Year in the “Science” category for his studies of hereditary neoplasms.

In 2017, the team of Prof. Krystian Jażdżewski and Dr Anna Wójcicka started the implementation of the screening program. After registering on the website www.BadamyGeny.pl and entering medical data, participants just donate blood and wait for the results. The cost of the test is several times lower than anywhere in the world and amounts to PLN 599 (about USD 160).

Thus, researchers are able to assess the risk of hereditary cancer, as well as to indicate how to avoid the disease.
