Professor Krystyna Modrzejewska from the Department of French Culture and Language at the University of Opole was honored with the Order of Academic Palms – one of the oldest and most prestigious French decorations set up by Napoleon I.
Dr. Christophe Paoli, attaché for science and university cooperation of the French Embassy in Poland awarded the order on behalf of the French Ministry of National Education, Science and Higher Education. It is awarded to especially distinguished people in the education, contributing to French intellectual, scientific and artistic development.
Krystyna Modrzejewska has been working at the Opole university since 1977. She organized and ran the department of French culture and language at the University of Opole.
