Vice President of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) Prof. Paweł Rowiński was re-elected as a member of the board of the European Federation of the Academy of Sciences (ALLEA).
This is his second term of office in the ALLEA board and it will last until 2022. Professor Paweł Rowiński is a member and vice president of the Polish Academy of Sciences, a hydrologist and hydrodynamic specialist working for the Institute of Geophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He is the author of over 150 scientific publications. He is interested in statistical methods in hydrology, smart data analysis, river turbulence and climate change.
ALLEA brings together 61 academies of science from 40 European countries. It was established in 1994, and PAN is its founding member. In 2000, the Polish Academy of Skills also joined the organization. ALLEA facilitates the exchange of information between affiliated institutions and it supports international collaboration of researchers. It offers independent scientific advice and ensures reliable information to the public.
