Professor Piotr Koszelnik became the new rector of the Rzeszów University of Technology (PRz). He will replace Prof. Tadeusz Markowski, who could not apply for re-election due to the statutory age limit.
Dr Eng. Piotr Koszelnik in 1996 graduated in the field of chemical technology at the Chemical Faculty of the Rzeszów University of Technology. Immediately after passing the Master’s exam, he was employed as an assistant at the Department of Environmental Engineering and Chemistry at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at PRz, where he has worked continuously to this day, currently being as its head.
In January 2003 he defended his doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Civil and Sanitary Engineering of the Lublin University of Technology. He obtained the title of habilitated doctor of technical sciences in the environmental engineering in 2009. From 2012 to 2019 he was the dean of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Rzeszów University of Technology.
Since 2012, he has been a member of the Committee of Environmental Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences (in the term of 2020-2023 he will be the deputy chairman).
