The new act is a new quality in Polish higher education, in science, research, finance and didactics. It gave universities many opportunities they did not have before, including the most important one – freedom in thinking about how they should be organized – said the rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) in Warsaw, Prof. Wiesław Bielawski.
Rector of WULS-SGGW described the practical functioning of universities after the reform of science and higher education.
Professor Wiesław Bielawski emphasized that the new law serves to develop Polish science and raise its prestige, both in Poland and abroad.
The implementation of the new law has been envisaged for the next few years, the last provisions will come into force in 2026, but the most important solutions were implemented in the 2018/2019 academic year including this most important aspect- the adoption of new statutes – stated the rector of WULS-SGGW.
