Dr Paweł Wawryszuk from Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz will carry out a project “Poland and Yugoslavia in the 20th century”. The scientific conference planned as part of the project has been co-financed under the Ministry of Education and Science’s ‘Excellent Science’ programme.
The main objectives of the conference organisers are to disseminate new scientific knowledge on Polish-Yugoslav relations in the 20th century, to popularise it, to integrate Polish scientific communities with post-Yugoslav scientific centres and to promote Poland’s image abroad.
The estimated number of participants in the conference is about 36 people – half of scientists from Poland and half of representatives from the post-Yugoslav countries. The scientific conference will have an open and public character. The event is aimed at scholars dealing with Balkan (and Polish respectively) issues, students and all lovers of the Balkans.
