The project of architecture students of the Silesian University of Technology was put on the final list of the International Bee Breaders Platform Competition “Sleeping Pods on a Cliff”. Their task was to design small houses – hotel rooms for people visiting Vale de Moses in the forests of central Portugal.
The main assumption of the project “The Net” by Jakub Ciszewski, Mariusz Piwkowski and Tomasz Klepek was to create a bedroom where users would feel close to nature while falling asleep. The building designed by students is divided by a longitudinal glass strip into two modules: wooden and stone. Thanks to the universal adjustable foundations, it is adapted to virtually every possible slope.
Bee Breeders is an international competition platform for people associated with architecture and design. People from all over the world entered the competition including mainly students, but also people related and not related to architecture.
