Professor Marek Furmankiewicz from the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław obtained funding under the Opus 17 program of the National Science Center for the project ‘The concept of absorption and transformation Europeanization of subnational entities on the example of local action groups in Poland’.
– My research particularly refers to two extreme types of Europeanization: transformational, understood here as a change of practices and preferences to new ones, corresponding to the priorities and recommendations contained in the EU programming documents and absorption, which in our project we understand as adjusting organizational structures and action priorities only to the necessary minimum, only to use EU funds, without the desire to accept and accept these changes permanently – says Prof. Furmankiewicz.
Local action groups are financed from EU funds. They function as associations of people and institutions from the public, non-governmental and economic sectors.
