The winners of the EN-UAC China Call competition, organised by the JPI Urban Europe network (Joint Programming Initiative Urban Europe) together with the Chinese NSFC (National Natural Science Foundation of China) agency, are known. Two projects involving Polish scientists were selected as winners, with the National Science Centre allocating almost PLN 2 million for their implementation.
The first is ‘E-Laas: Energy-optimised city logistics as a service’. The Polish team is headed by Dr Emilian Szczepański from the Warsaw University of Technology, and the project will be implemented with partners from China, Sweden and Spain.
The second project is ‘IMUMCN: Improving urban mobility towards climate neutrality in new work habits and modes of transport’. The Polish team is led by Dr Aleksandra Lis-Plesińska from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. The project will be carried out with partners from China and the Netherlands.
