37 graduates received diplomas from the Branch of the University of Białystok (UW) in Vilnius. It was the 12th promotion celebration at the Faculty of Economics and Information Technology. In total, 811 graduates have left the branch of the university so far.
The ceremony took place at the office of the Polish Home in the capital of Lithuania.
The Faculty of Economics and Information Technology of the University of Bialystok in Vilnius, operating since October 2007, was the first foreign faculty established by a Polish university. It was also the first branch of a foreign university in Lithuania.
In the 2020/21 academic year, almost 230 students studied at the university. The UW Vilnius branch is constantly developing. During the first years of activity, it educated students in two BA majors: Economics and Computer Science. From the 2014/2015 academic year, it enriched its offer with MA economic studies. The next step in the development of the faculty was the launch of the third major in BA studies – European Studies.
