Master’s studies in public health of the Faculty of Health Sciences in Bytom of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice have obtained APHEA – Agency for Public Health Education Accreditation. Accreditation was granted for 6 years.

APHEA was established on the initiative of five European agendas setting directions for the development of personnel education and conducting research in the field of European public health. It is the only European institution that grants international accreditation to universities and colleges providing education at BA and MA studies in the field of Public Health.

The university received funding for the implementation of the project “Foreign accreditation” from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The funds were received from the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development. Thanks to the accreditation, graduates of the accredited faculty will have greater employment opportunities, also abroad.
