The qualifiers for the XXVI International Championship in Mathematical and Logic Games have begun. The organizers have already provided a set of qualifying tasks and new regulations. The best competitors will come to the Wrocław University of Science and Technology in May, where the finals will be held.
The participants are divided into eight categories: primary school, junior high school, high school and college pupils, students, mathematicians and IT specialists, and other adults (regardless of education or profession). The first two qualifying rounds are conducted online. Solved tasks should be sent by 20 January 2019 via a special registration form.
The winners of the May competition will form Poland’s representation at the XXXIII International Championship in Mathematical and Logic Games in Paris, known as unofficial world maths championships. In 2018, Polish enthusiasts of maths won 8 medals, including 3 golds.
