Karolina Górnicka, a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Technical Physics and Applied Mathematics of the Gdańsk University of Technology, won the 6th “Diamond Grant” competition. Her project titled “Superconductivity and magnetism in the new double compounds R-Rh and R-Ir (R-rare earth)” received funding in the amount of PLN 219 350.
Every year bachelor graduates or students after the third year of their master’s program may apply for the Diamond Grant to carry out their own research. The program is organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
