Twelve applications submitted by the Opole University of Technology were qualified for the ministerial program “Implementation doctorate”. The program is an alternative way to a PhD degree. It is intended for people who want to develop their scientific careers and not to give up their professional work outside the university.
– It is a great success for the University of Technology. We have submitted 12 applications, all were approved and will be funded by the ministry. It should be noted that it was only last year when the University of Technology participated in the program for the first time. Then we applied for three implementation doctorates, which we are currently carrying out. It is also worth noting that the competition in obtaining implementation doctorates was very strong. We competed with the largest research centres in Poland, which also shows that our applications were innovative, interesting and well prepared – says the rector of the Opole University of Technology, Prof. Marcin Lorenc.
