The Rector of Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa, Prof. Anna Wypych-Gawrońska has officially signed a declaration of the university’s accession to Magna Charta Universitatum 2020. The document was signed during the Magna Charta Observatory (MCO) conference in Łódź.

The Częstochowa university (still as Jan Długosz University of Humanities and Sciences) ratified the accession document in 2021. However, at that time, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was not possible to organise a proper ceremony.

The document was signed by representatives of many academic centres from almost the entire world. In addition to universities from European countries such as the UK, Turkey and Ukraine, rectors from Thailand, Argentina and Colombia also pledged their cooperation.
