Prof. Jerzy Lis, rector of the AGH University of Science and Technology (AGH) in Kraków, a specialist in materials engineering and chemical technology, was awarded the title of Diamond Engineer 2023 in the XXX “Golden Engineer” competition organised by the editors of the Technical Review.

The editors of the “Technical Review” awarded the titles of Golden, Silver, Young, Distinguished and Honorary Engineers, as well as the titles of Engineer of the 30th anniversary. “Gold” titles were awarded in the following categories: construction, innovation, infrastructure, science, management, manager, and “Silver” for innovation, science, energy, infrastructure, medical technology, association activist.

Two more AGH awardees were announced among the winners of the competition. Prof. Ryszard Tadeusiewicz, Rector of AGH in 1998-2005, automatics and IT specialist, populariser of science, was honoured with the title of Engineer of the 30th Year. Dr Anna Zielińska from the Faculty of Management, who specialises in blockchain and electromobility, was awarded the title of Young Engineer 2023.
