The Georgian Technical University in Tbilisi has awarded the rector of the University of Life Sciences (UP) in Lublin, Prof. Krzysztof Kowalczyk, an honorary doctorate.
It was awarded to the rector of UP in Lublin in recognition of the fruitful cooperation between our universities to date and the support of Georgian students at the international forum.
The Georgian Technical University traces its tradition back to 1922, when the Polytechnic Faculty was established at Tbilisi State University. In 1990, it started operating as an independent higher education unit adopting its current name. It comprises 13 faculties (including the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Biosystems Engineering or the Faculty of Mining and Geology).
