Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the University of Warsaw (UW), received the “Pro Juvenes” award in the category of “Student Self-Government Authority”. The awards are granted by the Students’ Parliament of the Republic of Poland (PSRP) for services to the student community.
The ‘Pro Juvenes’ competition has been organised by the PSRP since 2013. It aims to promote active students and their initiatives and to highlight the merits of individuals and entities that are student-friendly and support the potential of young people.
During the 10th anniversary gala, prizes were awarded in twelve categories: student health initiatives, student athlete, student artist, student culture, scientific circle, scientific project, student scientist, study for the better, social initiatives, socially engaged student, student media, Juvenalia.
Awards were also presented in special categories. Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the UW and President of the Academic Sports Association, was honoured as an Authority of Student Self-Government.
