Prof. Michał Zasada, rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW), became a board member of the Association for European Life Science Universities.
The Association for European Life Science Universities is an organization of over 60 European universities focused on life sciences, educating and conducting research in the field of agriculture, forestry, food, natural resources, rural development and the environment. Its headquarters are in Ghent, Belgium.
In September this year, Prof. Michał Zasada became the rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. Previously, he was the vice-rector for international cooperation, and in the years 2008–2012 – the dean of the Faculty of Forestry, of which he is a graduate.
His research work focuses on forest management, modeling the growth of trees and stands, dendrometry, the use of modern technologies in forest inventory and decision support systems in forestry.
