Rector of Wrocław University of Technology met with Lower Silesian local government

Rector of the Wrocław University of Technology Prof. Cezary Madryas met the Mayor of Jelenia Góra Jerzy Łużniak, Mayor of Legnica Tadeusz Krzakowski, Mayor of Wałbrzych Roman Szełemiej, Marshal of the Lower Silesia Province Cezary Przybylski, Prof. Jerzy Jasieńko, Vice-Rector for Organization and Development and Prof. Andrzej Dziedzic, Vice-Rector for Teaching.

The reason for the meeting were the issues connected with the branch of the Wroclaw University of Technology in Jelenia Góra, Legnica and Wałbrzych. During the meeting the participants decided to modify and adapt to the current needs of the economy the curriculum in the branches of the university, also by launching courses consistent with the needs of the local industry.

Activities will be undertaken jointly by the cities and the university. The adopted work schedule assumes that recruitment for new directions will start in spring 2020, and the first students will start their studies on October 1, 2020.
