The Foundation for Polish Science has transferred over PLN 109 million for research in three international science centers planned in Gdańsk and Warsaw.
The International Center for the Theory of Quantum Technologies will be established at the University of Gdańsk. Research will include the use of quantum technologies in computers. Its foreign partner is the Institute of Quantum Optics and Quantum Informatics (IQOQI) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
Scientists from Prof. Konrad Banaszek’s Center in Warsaw will develop quantum optical technologies. They cooperate with the Oxford University.
The Cancer Research Center will be set up in Gdańsk and it will be run by Prof. Jan Dumański from the University of Uppsala (Sweden) and Dr Arkadiusz Piotrowski from the Medical University of Gdańsk. (Kp)
