The National Centre for Science (NCN) has announced a call for applications for funding of research components in projects that have been awarded funding in the Profesura NAWA 2022 programme, organised by the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).

The NAWA Professorship programme is aimed at selected institutions of the higher education and science system, including Polish universities, scientific institutes and research institutes. They will be able to invite to Poland outstanding specialists in their priority thematic areas, who will significantly develop groundbreaking research, strengthen teaching activities and support these institutions in preparing applications for prestigious grants.

Grantees will receive funding to implement projects that address civilisational challenges of global significance. Projects can be planned to carry out basic research, which will be funded by NCN.

The NCN Council has allocated PLN 3.2 million for the implementation of research components under the NAWA 2022 Professorship programme.
