Dr Zbigniew Heleniak from the Chair and Clinic of Nephrology, Transplantology and Internal Medicine at the Medical University of Gdańsk received a three-month scholarship from the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD).

DAAD is an association of German universities, whose main task is the internationalization of German universities and supporting international academic exchange. The organization grants individual scholarships, finances group travel and delegating German scientists to foreign universities.

Significant financial resources are allocated for cooperation between German and foreign universities in the framework of specific projects – for programs supporting the internationalization of German universities, as well as for financing study programs, centers and universities abroad.
