Dr Mateusz Świetlicki from the Institute of Slavonic Philology at the University of Wroclaw became an ambassador of the Fulbright Program in the province Lower Silesian and neighboring provinces. He was selected through an open competition from over 2,000 Polish graduates.
The Fulbright program is the largest program of scientific and cultural exchange in the United States. It is considered by many to be one of the most prestigious exchange programs in the world. For over 70 years, it has supported cooperation for the development of science, culture and interpersonal and interinstitutional relations between the United States and over 160 countries.
Mateusz Świetlicki, specialist on America and Ukraine issues, is a doctor of humanities in the field of literary studies at the Wrocław University. As part of his new duties, he will organize information meetings for the academic environment of the University of Wrocław and other universities in the Lower Silesian Voivodship and neighboring provinces.
