Dr Aleksandra Dunisławska, Professor at the Bydgoszcz University of Technology, has won a scholarship from the Minister of Education and Science for outstanding young scientists. The scholarship holder is an employee of the Faculty of Animal Breeding and Biology at the University of Bydgoszcz and the chairperson of the scientific discipline council for zootechnics and fisheries.

The laureate’s research workshop includes analysis of gene expression in animals under the influence of a nutritional or environmental factor and in vitro cell cultures in the context of a simplified model for analysis. She considers her greatest scientific achievement to date to be the definition of interdependencies at the molecular level between the microbiome and the host on an animal model.

Scholarships of the Minister of Education and Science were awarded to 230 young scientists this year, including 37 doctoral students from all over Poland representing 51 scientific and artistic disciplines.
