Dr Magdalena Grabias from the Department of Visual Culture of the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin has been awarded the “Helion International 2019” for her contribution to the development of science and culture.

The International Association of Culture Helion is an organization established in Timisoara, Romania in 2010. It brings together writers and researchers of science fiction and fantasy subjects, and continues the thirty-year activity of the Helion Club.

The Helion Cultural Association is the organizer of the annual scientific conferences entitled: “Frontiers of the Possible: Borders and Openings in Speculative Fiction”, operating with the support of the City Council and the Western University of Timisoara.
