Prof. Ewa Ziemba from the University of Economics in Katowice has become this year’s winner of the Marek Car Award, which has been granted for 20 years for outstanding achievements in creating conditions for the development of the information society.
Prof. Ewa Ziemba, from the Department of Computer Science and International Accounting at the University of Economics in Katowice, was honoured for creating a Polish scientific school of sustainable information society, the development of young academics and work for the benefit of the academic community in Poland and worldwide, as well as its integration in the area of sustainable information society development.
It was also recognised for its substantive cooperation with the public administration environment in the Silesian Voivodeship on laying the foundations for the development of a sustainable information society and disseminating knowledge about them in local government administration in Poland.
