Dr Medical Sciences Marcin Grabowski from the 1st Department of Cardiology Clinic of the Medical University of Warsaw (WUM) has been awarded this year’s prize of the Presidents of the Polish Cardiac Society (PTK).

The award committee appreciated the series of seven papers on the use of clinical and biochemical markers in the diagnosis and prognosis of patients with acute cardiological conditions. The awarded works enrich the knowledge about the results of distant treatment of acute coronary syndromes, independent deathly risk factors after leaving the hospital – informs Bayer Ltd, the founder of the prize.

The PTK President’s Award is an individual prize, awarded for an original, defined scientific achievement or an innovative solution in the field of clinical or experimental cardiology, documented by works published in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
