Dr Anna Dzimitrowicz, Professor of Wrocław University of Science and Technology from the Faculty of Chemistry, has been accepted into the prestigious Young Academy of Europe (YAE) organisation. It comprises 180 outstanding young scientists from all over Europe.
The laureate specialises in cold atmospheric plasma and its applications in environmental engineering, food chemistry, biomedicine, analytical chemistry and materials engineering. Among others, she is a laureate of the Start programme of the Foundation for Polish Science and a scholarship for Young Outstanding Scientists awarded by the Ministry of Education and Science.
YAE was founded in 2012 to promote international cooperation in the fields of science, technology and culture. The organisation currently has 180 members (including only five from Poland) who can boast significant achievements in scientific research. YAE members represent a diverse range of scientific fields, including but not limited to the sciences and natural sciences, humanities and social sciences.
