Dr Piotr Rzymski from the Department of Environmental Medicine at the Medical University of Poznań won the main prize in the Popularizer of Science competition organized by the Polish Press Agency and the Ministry of Education and Science. He was awarded for his commitment and huge work related to popularizing medical knowledge in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The laureate gave almost 800 comments to the Polish media, participated in television programs devoted entirely to the pandemic, conducted training for various professional groups and state institutions, participated in the “Knowledge Network – Health” project run together with the Rzeczpospolita daily.

Dr Piotr Rzymski regularly publishes in the Polityka weekly, runs a dietary blog, organizes and conducts classes for children and adolescents, cooperates with institutions of the University of the Third Age all over Poland and participates in science festivals.
