Professor Med. Marzena Gajęcka, head of the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Genetics and Pharmacy of the Poznan University of Medical Sciences, received a scholarship from the Kościuszko Foundation for the academic year 2019/2020 to complete a scientific internship at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston in the United States.

During his three-month stay in Houston, Prof. Gajecka will work on the application of integration analyzes in multi-level studies on host-microbiota interaction in multifactorial diseases.

The Kosciuszko Foundation promotes Polish-American cooperation through international exchange in education, science and culture. The Foundation grants annual residency and grant grants to Poles for studies, research and/or didactics at universities or other institutions providing higher education in the United States.
